The journey that led to Breakthroux started years ago…
Throughout my career, I’ve seen both inspiring and not-so-great examples of HR and leadership. I was always the one listening - and yes, talking a lot too - soaking up knowledge and connecting with people. That curiosity grew into a conviction: HR should never be “fluffy.” It should be a true business partner, working side by side with leadership to drive real impact.
Back in 2012, I started noticing that many processes just weren’t right. They were built on shaky foundations, and later those cracks showed up in how organizations worked.
I made a promise to myself: I’d help teams get those foundations right.
And what a ride it’s been:
- 2015: Built the first accelerated leadership program in a large company, hiring and developing more than 50 people. Today, many recruiters still see alumni from that program as “perfect candidates” for their teams.
- 2018: Built, with my team, a TA function that cut time-to-hire in half by sourcing together as a system.
- 2020: Created with my team one of the first fully tribalized TA functions, hiring 120 tech roles per quarter with the most amazing team I’ve ever worked with.
- 2022: Partnered with a Series A startup to build their HR foundations from scratch: a data-driven performance review process, a clear compensation philosophy, and scaling from 30 → 170 people in just 18 months.
- 2025: Supported a large company in co-creating their Values. The magic? Everyone felt proud because they had built it together.
Along the way, I spoke with many founders and leaders about their journeys. And I realized something: sometimes it’s too early to hire a Head of People. What companies often need first is a strong foundation, so people and organizations can grow with it.
That’s what truly makes me happy: helping teams build things that last.
Breakthroux was born out of that promise I made years ago: to help teams build things that truly last, and to make the journey as meaningful as the result.
